Upon The Shore

about

Recorded again at HillHouse Studios in Craigantlet with regular producer and collaborator Phil d’Alton (Master & Dog) alongside Dave McConnell (viola) and Laura McKee (vocal harmonies),“Upon The Shore” is a warm and welcoming sonic embrace, filled with careful tone, thoughtful harmony reminiscent of Bright Eyes, Damien Rice and the subtle dynamic recordings of Justin Vernon’s Volcano Choir. Written as a response to battles with mental health and the comfort that comes in escaping with a loved one into the outdoors- it is a softly spoken whisper of quiet hopefulness, a welcome reminder to pause from the constant barrage of life’s busyness.

"A beautiful track. I'm such a big fan of this song." (Eve Blair, BBC Radio Ulster Late Show)
